Prayer as we celebrate Epiphany

God of glory, on the Twelfth Day of Christmas, we remember the appearance of your Son as the Savior of the nations. As the Magi came from afar, bearing gifts and worshiping the King, so let us also give him worship and praise! On this day when you showed your Gospel was meant for all nations, we pray that you would use your Word to call to faith many more people in distant lands, that they might join the Magi and us when we worship before your throne in heaven. Amen

Time to change

Lord, I come to you today as a new year lies before me. And I know there are some issues for which I cannot as yet make a decision, but there are some things I know it's time; some changes I need to make and now would be a great time. With your guidance from your spirit, with your strength, help me to make the changes I know I need to make. I desire to please you; I desire to honor and worship you with my life. Help me for now is the time to change. Jesus, I pray in your name, Amen.
